Spending time with our children.

As kids, spending time with mom or dad was a magical time.
Every child looks at their parents like they are true super heros.
They hang on every word of advice their dad offers them.
While being overwhelmed by the amount of love and joy their mother gives them.

Having a strong and powerful relationship with your children is essential for them to grow and become the best they can be. Parents play such a vital role in the development of their kids, whether thats a good role or a negative one. In today's society A lot of families have lost that special touch. We are living a a fast pace environment, Where sit down dinners turned into fast food drive throughs. Where sharing stories of our day turned into staying silent and watching made up stories on television. Where spending time with our children was only the drive from home to the daycare.

A huge reason I believe this is happening is the demand of providing a life in today's world. We need money for everything. Even for basic living sources such has water, food and shelter. What makes it worse is most are only taught how to work for money instead of having money work for them. With most jobs barely offering enough money to get by, most families are forced to have the father and mother both work long hours, almost every day, every month, year and year again.

To me this is unacceptable. That is why I have looked for opportunities that will allow me not just financial freedom but time freedom. I don't just want to stop there either. I want to help as many other people and families achieve the same type of freedom. To bring back the comfort and joy of being a connected and unified family.

Wouldn't you rather be the coach then the parent in the stands or the one that is at work?
Wouldn't you rather be the one cooking your kids meals then a fast food restaurant who has signs warning of chemicals that have been known to cause cancer?
Wouldn't you rather spend your time with your kids and your family then at some job?

There are more efficient and effected ways to earn an income while not sacrificing precious time in your children's lives!

Don't Ever Give Up.

 Why do you give up?

Let me clear something up. It is okay to try things out and quit or move on to something else. I mean lets face it human beings are curious organisms. Just because we may be interested in something and try it a few times, or once and decide it just isn't for us, does not make us quitters.

Everyone is in a constant pursuit of happiness. We all deserve to try as many things as we please until we start finding the things in life that fill us with joy and excitement.

Now that you understand my point of view on that, let me explain what I mean about not giving up.
Once you find something that dances with your soul, no matter how crazy it may be or how difficult it may seem, you should not give up on it, or yourself. Life in general is difficult. Every day we are faced with obstacles that we have to overcome, but there is two ways you can look at this:
1. Wish things would be easier
2. Believe that you can become stronger.

YOU ARE AN AMAZING BEING.
You can achieve tremendous feats. You can dance. You can smell the aroma of millions of different things. You can Sing ( even if you don't think your good ;) ). Your are strong. You are creative. You can motivate another Human Being. You can create food. You can play sports. You can dream. You can go to outer-space. You can act. You can have sex. You can just be You.
YOU ARE AN AMAZING BEING.

Now why would you ever want to give up on yourself? DON'T!
When you find something or things you have a passion for, make time for them.
Don't look for an excuse for why you can't do it, discover a reason why you will do it.
Stay strong during the beginning stages and the mistakes and misfortunes. Reminisce about the old times once you are on top of your game and have mastered whatever goals and passion you have.
Watch me :)

What makes success

Success seemed fit only for the movies or a good fantasy.

Up until a half a year ago success in the industry I had chosen only seemed like a fairy tale. It seemed as if only the elite, or the special few knew how to achieve it. Where was this powerful elixir and its super human characteristics and how could I get my hands on it. I would have done anything to find the secret to my success, but guess what? The only thing I had to do was fail. No you don't have to re-read that again, I did just say I had to "Fail" to be successful. See I think to many of us have a diluted perception of what success is.

When we observe people that are successful, we really only see their achievements. I am sure we understand that they had to put work in. I just don't think we spend enough time imagining actually how much time they spent. How many hours they put into what they do. All the mistakes and tears and sweat and bad nights staying up with anxiety. People see others who have made it and want it to, but make excuses like oh I don't have what it takes, or I don't have the natural ability.

How am I sure people think this? Because I was one of those people. I would look at other Network Marketers and couldn't imagine being on stage speaking in front of a huge crowd of people who actually are interested in me. I couldn't imagine earning a cent in a business that I created from the ground up. I couldn't imagine that I could be bigger then the box I had been a prisoner to.

So what happened?
Two things happened. 1) I made a lot of mistakes. 2) I never gave up.

I set those two steps on repeat. Over and over. Over and over. Let me tell you a secret, without failing you can never learn how to progress. Let me tell you another secret, if you never get back on your feet you'll never enjoy your success. One thing I had going for me through my young career is I knew what I wanted. I knew that what I wanted I wanted more then anything. No one told me that it was okay to fail, I genuinely thought I was a failure because I just couldn't get it right but I just figured well at least I'm good at failing and would just keep on.

So to answer the question at the end of my last blog. The company my buddy revealed to me was Ambit Energy, an amazing company that was born out of the recent energy deregulation. If you don't know what that is check out my website: Thebrightchoice.myambit.com. Now up until then I wasn't finding success although I knew I wanted to be in a company that helped a lot of people that is why I always chose a health and wellness company. This company as well helped a lot of people. Everyone uses electricity and its my job to help people not only lower their monthly bill but potentially earn free electricity or natural gas each month. Plus the compensation plan was phenomenal and I knew this because I had seen dozen of comp plans and this one blew them all out of the water. But how did I see and know all these comp plans? because I was always looking and searching never giving up until I found the right one. I stayed persistent. I NEVER GAVE UP even after failing for so long I finally found the right vehicle.

Now just because you find the right vehicle doesn't mean its going to drive itself correct? So why was I able to drive for the first time my vehicle off the lot- sorta speak-? After all those years of failing and making mistakes and learning and forgetting and re learning and trying new things I grew a bigger understanding and slowly went from a beginner to an amateur network marketer. I NEVER GAVE UP.

To rap this up I want to leave you with one thing. Success isn't something given to us, its something that is earned. We earn it by going through the struggle, by asking why? By wondering if its even worth it and by telling your self, hell yes it is. Go get it my friends. Never give up. That is what makes success.

Who am I and what do I do.

Hi, I'm Ricky the Social Marketer.

I have always looked at life with my own microscope. I grew up playing baseball, and oh was I good. All day every day I practiced, learned about the professional teams and players. I played all throughout little league and when I reached high school, I shot up the ladder fast until I reached varsity. After high school I played a little colligate ball, I soon ran into many health problems resulting in me hanging my cleats up.

There I was like most kids in their 20's, stuck between my child hood and the realization that I needed to grow up. I had always thought I would be a professional ball player so I never put to much thought in what else I would like to do. In between, oh I don't know, 14 jobs that lasted from 1 day to 1 year, I found an industry that was fascinating and frighting all at the same time. An industry that offered financial freedom to those who dared. Unfortunately, I, like most was skeptical to say the least. It was Network Marketing. To be honest, I just thought it was a scam because I heard that once somewhere. I think someone said "Oh one of those things, that's a pyramid scheme. If they ever ask you for money it's a big ol' scam. Don't fall for it, go get a REAL job". Looking back now I always get a laugh at that. Thank goodness I have always been one to have an open mind. Although I was nervous, I still did what most fail to do, hear it out. I listened to a buddy of mine and to my surprise I actually really liked the concept. My first company I ever joined was a health and wellness network marketing company. It was a brand new start up company. Man was I ready to succeed. I couldn't wait to be making the millions and millions of dollars of residual income I had built in my head. Oh how easy it was going to be, I mean how hard can it be right? See, I was like most people who first hear about an opportunity like network marketing, I thought it was a get rich quick scheme. Oh was I wrong.

After failing at getting anyone in the first company, and then eventually quitting the company because of poor leadership and management, I found myself in a new company. This was in the same category as the first, health and wellness. See, I thought everyone wanted to be healthy, and even though I wasn't a business expert I knew that I should be in a company that attracted a lot of people. And to be honest, I was kind of on to something, I just didn't know it at the time, but thats for a later story. This time I was a little more successful. I had picked up on a few things and for the first time I started to slowly understand the business structure of network marketing. First I learned that it wasn't a get rich quick scheme, because you really had to put work into it. I think that is a big reason network marketing has such a bad rep, because people get into it thinking they are gonna get rich over night and when they find out it isn't so easy, they quit and tell everyone those "Things" don't and will never work.

I eventually moved closer to the beach, from my home town to Irvine, Ca. I moved in with some old high school friends. To my surprise, they were involved in their own network marketing venture. And to be honest, they were finding a lot more success than I was, and since I still didn't have the right type of leadership, and I wasn't doing too well in my company, I decided to quit once again and join forces with my new brothers. Looking back at it, that was one of the best decisions I have made in my young entrepreneur career.

Okay, quick recap, it has now been about two years since I joined my first network marketing company, and with brutal honesty, I was proving all the skeptics true, these things just don't work. But I had one thing going for me, I was determined. I understood clearly that if I could begin earning RESIDUAL INCOME, my life would never be the same, I could live the good life and help and spread love to more people. Also, I looked on the positive side and realized I had practically been earning a degree in marketing with all the hands on experience I was getting. Honestly, it wasn't just the marketing I was learning that impressed me or my friends, it was the confidence and people person skills that really stood out. So now I am in my third company and I start to find success and I start building a very successful team, but unfortunately the company and product I was marketing just wasn't the right vehicle for me and I soon went back to ground zero. I am a truthful guy, so I will tell you I lost thousands of dollars while only making $100 bucks in a year and half.

At this point I was done! I moved out of the apartment for other personal reasons and came back home. Wow, square one. I was a failure. Even worse, I felt like I had made a fool out of myself. What had I been doing for the past few years? Making a fool out of myself? This thought process went on for a while, but I always still loved the concept of residual income and how magical a life you could live with it. Although I had quit three companies, I wasn't one to just give up, so I always kept an open mind.

October 3rd 2013-
I am in the airport with a new friend and we are headed to Hawaii. We arrived 30 minutes early and we sitting by our terminal waiting for the plane. We both started talking about business and realized that we had both been in the same company, which was the last one I was in. I started telling him how I knew I wanted to earn residual income but just hadn't found any success and felt like a failure. He told me he felt the same way but that he had a new opportunity that I might like. Me being always ready and willing, told him to explain. What he and I didn't know is that this conversation would lead us to becoming business partners. Not only that, but in just a small period of time I started to earn my first profits in a company, and 7 months later I have earned over $5,000 dollars, and still growing! I have opened my first office! We have over 20 team members. This is just the beginning.

So, what is this company that helped an amateur network marketer go from zero to hero? Was it just the company that helped me succeed? Or was it just a matter of staying persistent and never giving up and finding the right vehicle, which helped me utilize all the skills I had learned over the past few years?

Find out on my next blog. Until then don't stop until you CONQUERURLIFE!
